Men’s Trip - April 2027

We partner with Hope for Honduras in Tegucigalpa. Our team will build a house for a family in need, help distribute food to residents of the surrounding community, and assist with English tutoring at Hope Academy.

We partner with Jonathan & Heidy Rivas and the Carpinteros Para Cristo team. Our spring men's trip usually builds three single-family homes with two sets of bunk beds in each home. Our fall men's trip normally works construction on a church, along with building one single-family home.

We will fly via United Airlines from Bush International Airport to Palmerola International Airport, in Comayagua, Honduras. We will be transported via ground transportation to the mission house in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Yes, you will need a passport that does not expire within six months from the date of your return. There is no visa required; however, three days before the trip you will need to complete both the Honduras Immigration Pre-check and Customs Declaration online. Instructions for completing these documents online will be given closer to the departure date.

The minimum age requirement is 18 by the date the trip leaves. A middle or high school student can join if a parent is traveling with the team.

• Day One: Meet in front of the Loft at 6:00 a.m. to take the church vans to the airport. Arrive in Tegucigalpa, take a quick site visit, settle in at the Mission House, and attend an instructional meeting/cultural training.
• Day Two and Three: Construction.
• Day Four: Travel back to Houston, arriving around 4:30 p.m. and back at the church around 6:00 p.m.

Team members stay in bunk houses. Each house has three to four sets of bunk beds, plus two showers and two toilets.

At the Mission Center, kitchen staff will prepare and serve buffet-style meals for breakfast and dinner and prepare lunches for teams to eat at the serve team site. Please let us know of any dietary needs when prompted on the trip registration form.

No. A translator will be provided for all events when necessary. We also encourage you to download Google Translate to help with Spanish conversations.

The Mission House does have WIFI. Check with your wireless carrier about an appropriate international plan if you'd like data access outside the Mission House as well.

The trip cost covers airfare, ground transportation, meals, and lodging, so any personal purchases (souvenirs, snacks, etc.) are separate. Bringing a modest amount of cash is recommended — check with your trip leader for a specific suggested amount.
