The Woodlands Methodist Church is seeking a highly qualified Administration Executive Assistant. We are looking for a detail-oriented, adaptable professional skilled in multi-tasking, planning, and executing tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They will build strong internal and external relationships, take initiative in administrative tasks, and handle sensitive information with discretion. This role supports the Executive Pastor, Operations Director, and Human Resources as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs a wide range of administrative support activities which include:

  • Maintain the Executive Pastor and Operations Director’s calendars; assist with the creation and duplication of meeting agendas and presentation slides as requested.
  • Schedule and arrange events and meetings including media support, food service, space and resource booking, nursery, event registrations, room preparation, and material duplication as needed.
  • Assist with governance meetings including agendas, presentation materials, meeting minutes, room setup, material duplication and long-term documentation (meeting content and term information)
  • Available to answer questions (in person, phone, or email) from staff, lay leaders, partners, or vendors to help leverage Administration leadership.
  • Provide coordination support to vision aligned projects and/or communications (i.e. construction meetings – room reservations, room prep, and track documentation)
  • Assist with the documentation and distribution of policies and procedures for staff and volunteers.
  • Assist the Foundation by serving as the primary contact to seminary students and university officials for all grants and seminary scholarship requests and payments, communications, and policies for these endowments.
  • Performs basic bookkeeping, including reconciling credit card statements, tracking receipts for the submission of Executive Pastor and Director of Operation’s expense reports.
  • Edit correspondence or visuals using Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel or Adobe and ensure document accuracy as requested.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, order office supplies, books, or other items upon request.
  • Attend core team meetings and take notes and action items as requested.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Chief of Staff to the Executive Pastor.

The NextGen Kids Shepherd - Montgomery is responsible for the creative vision, strategic development, and implementation of all programs serving families with children (ages three through sixth grade) at The Church at Montgomery (CAM). This role collaborates with NextGen leadership, the CAM Lead Pastor, and central staff to ensure alignment with The Woodlands Methodist Church's mission to reach people for Jesus Christ, disciple them in faith, and help those in need.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Shepherd children to grow in their faith through engaging, age-appropriate teaching and environments.
  • Develop and implement annual curriculum, including crafts, games, and object lessons.
  • Execute Sunday morning programming for children (ages 3 through 6th grade), including assistance with nursery needs.
  • Build strong relationships with families and volunteers as the campus grows.
  • Plan and lead Montgomery-specific family and children's events; collaborate on all-campus events as needed.
  • Coordinate and lead large and small group experiences, including music and worship components.

The Early Childhood Ministry Lead supports the development of a dynamic ministry for children ages three through kindergarten. In collaboration with the NextGen Kids Lead Shepherd and in alignment with The Woodlands Methodist Church’s (TWMC) mission to win people to Jesus Christ, disciple them in faith, and help those in need.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide essential support for the overall function of the early childhood ministry, age three through kindergarten.

  • Support creating a culture where volunteers love to serve by assisting the Lead Shepherd and volunteers in conducting their mission and programs.

TWMS Athletics Coach will guide our student athletes and teach them the correct way to participate in sports. This position will study the rules, techniques and other technical aspects of a game. TWMS Athletics Coach will formulate training plans and look at areas such as the athlete and team’s performance, nutrition, educational performance at school and issues they may be having at home. A TWMS Athletics Coach will mentor our young athletes in the sport as well as their journey of faith.

The Athletics Coach reports to the Director of Athletics.

SCOPE

  • Developing plans for student care based on assessment, interventions, and identification of outcomes, and the evaluation of care
  • Cares for students with chronic illnesses developing a health care plan with the physician and parents. Communicates and coordinates the needs of the student with the teachers
  • Provide care for students with acute illnesses and injuries
  • Monitoring immunizations, managing communicable diseases, and assessing the school environment to prevent injury and ensure safety
  • Overseeing infection control measures
  • Actively participating in school safety plans that address school violence, bullying, and emergencies that may occur at school
  • Overseeing medication administration, health care procedures, and the development of healthcare plans
  • Making decisions related to the delegation of healthcare tasks as directed by state laws and professional practice guidance
  • Providing health advice to school educational teams, such as the Counselor and Developmental Specialist teams in developing plans and IP’s for students.
  • Assists in maintaining first aid kits for each classroom
  • First responder for life threatening emergencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and current Texas Registered Nursing License
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Pediatric Health Care
  • Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
  • Growing Christian
  • Must have a heart for working with children
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs quickly

The Woodlands Methodist School is currently seeking candidates for substitute positions. The Woodlands Methodist School (TWMS) is a ministry of The Woodlands Methodist Church. Positions are available at the Elementary School as well as Middle School. Candidates should specify whether they would prefer to substitute at the Elementary School or Middle School. Substitutes help to provide the best possible learning environment for children while their teacher is not in the classroom. The experienced substitute will be knowledgeable about educational resources and dedicated to lifelong learning.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Each substitute must be a high school graduate; a bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Teaching certification is a strong plus
  • Experience working with children is preferred
  • Excellent classroom management skills preferred
  • An interest in learning about working with children
  • Must be committed Christians comfortable sharing their faith with children and families
  • Must successfully pass background check requirements; which include fingerprinting and an extensive criminal history search

JOB DUTIES

  • This position requires someone that is committed to the growth of students
  • Reliable to be in the classroom the entire time while the teacher is out
  • Easily build rapport with students, other teachers and parents
  • Be available to substitute a minimum of four times a month for staff, keeping school informed of availability
  • Follow daily plans in keeping with the school’s developmental philosophy
  • Provide feedback/update the classroom teacher at the end of the day
  • Work directly with children to meet individual needs
  • Cooperate with the Director(s) and other staff in those activities involving the whole program
  • Meet school requirements for in-service training and professional growth
  • Cooperate and clarify expectations with any co-worker who may be assigned to the class
  • Perform other duties as needed
