NextGen COVkids at Covenant Church at Creekside is a safe, welcoming place for children in kindergarten through
fifth grade to learn, explore and discover who they are in Christ. As valued members of our church family, kids
are encouraged to build friendships across generations, experience meaningful community and grow in their faith.
During NextGen Kids Sunday School, children worship, learn and have fun in age-appropriate
environments designed just for them. Classes are offered during Sunday worship at 9:00, 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Throughout the year, we also host special monthly activities and studies that help kids deepen
their faith and build lasting friendships.

Check In
Check-in area is located just outside the main
entrance. NextGen staff will meet your family,
check your child into the system and walk you through
how NextGen Kids works.
3 – 5 Years Old

Parents check in their young children to receive a
printed name tag and a security tag.

Parents place name tag on child’s back, keep
security tag for pick up and escort child to
classroom.

Upon pick up, parents will show security tag to the
child care worker.
Kindergarten – 5th Grade

Older children start in worship with their families
and will be dismissed to NextGen Kids during the
worship service.

Adult helpers will walk them to The Cove for
assembly and class time.

Children will need to be collected from their respective classes after service. K-2: Room 2 and 3-5: Room

WHAT TO EXPECT
3 – 5 Years Old
Our staff with 3 – 5 year olds are background
checked and Safe Sanctuary trained. They help little
ones learn about God’s Word at their own level. The
stories read each week correspond to those learned by
the older children and are accompanied by fun crafts
and activities.
Kindergarten – 5th Grade
We believe it’s important for kids to gradually
learn to participate in “big” worship. During the
sermon time, elementary kids will be dismissed and
escorted to The Cove for a special time of fun,
discovery, learning and worship. There they will gather with
other students their age so they can learn about God’s
Word at their own pace and level. We will partkae in Holy Communion the first Sunday of the month.
