We partner with Jonathan Rivas to help build homes and bunkbeds in Honduras

We will fly via United Airlines from Bush International Airport to Palmerola International Airport, in Comayagua, Honduras. We will be transported via ground transportation to the mission house in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Yes, you will need a passport that does not expire within 6 months from the date of your return. There is no visa required, however, three days before the trip you will need to complete both the Honduras Immigration Pre-check and Custom Declaration online. Instructions for completing these documents online will be given closer to the departure date.

The minimum age requirement is 18 by the date the trip leaves. A 16- or 17-year-old can join if a parent is traveling with the team.

  • Day One:
    • Meet in Front of the Loft at 6:00 a.m. to take the church vans to airport
    • Arrive in Tegucigalpa
    • Quick Site Visit
    • Settle in at Mission House
    • Instructional Meeting/Cultural Training
  • Day Two and Three:
    • Construction
  • Day Four travel back to Houston, arriving around 4:30 p.m. and back at the church around 6:00 p.m.
  • Morning devotional and coffee
  • Breakfast at the Mission House
  • Load supplies onto truck
  • Work on projects
  • Dinner
  • Time of reflection and sharing

Team members stay in bunk houses

At the Mission House, kitchen staff will prepare and serve buffet-style meals for breakfast and dinner and prepare lunches for teams to eat at the Serve Team site. Please let us know of any dietary needs when prompted on the trip registration form.

No. A translator will be provided for all events when necessary.

Bible, journal, comfortable work clothes, shoes, work gloves, sunscreen, and toiletries

The cost is $1,800 and includes airfare, ground transportation, meals, and lodging.

  • Attend the pre team meeting
  • A passport that doesn’t expire within 6 months of the date of your return.
  • Notarized TWMC Medical and Liability Waiver (we have notaries on the TWMC Missions staff that can provide this service free of charge)
  • Complete the online Honduras Immigration Check (3 days prior to the trip)
  • Complete the online Customs Declaration (3 days prior to trip)
