Rev. Joe Lowe

Associate Pastor - Church at Woodforest

As a native of north Louisiana and south Arkansas, Joe has spent a lot of time in different church environments, but none as large as The Woodlands Methodist Church. Raised in small-town Junction City, Arkansas-Louisiana, Joe spent most of his early life attending First Baptist Church (FBC) of Junction City and Three Creeks Baptist Church. It was in both of these churches that he felt God's compelling call to ministry.

In 2017, he attended Camp Fuego in Eunice, Louisiana, with his youth group from Three Creeks. During one of the worship nights, the camp speaker said something along the lines of, "Some of you in this room are called to vocational ministry. If that is you, I want to invite you forward to accept God's call on your life." In that moment, Joe felt the Holy Spirit carry him to the altar. This was the moment when everything changed.

In 2018, Joe became the Student Pastor at FBC of Junction City and has answered God's call to remain in vocational ministry ever since. He has served in the Southern Baptist Church, the United Methodist Church, and the Global Methodist Church as the Senior Pastor of Carlisle First Methodist Church in Arkansas. He received his BA in Biblical Studies from Lancaster Bible College and plans to graduate in May of 2027 with a Master of Ministry from Wesley Biblical Seminary. Joe lives life by this motto: Draw, Disciple and Send. He believes that the role of the church is to DRAW the lost, DISCIPLE them into a deeper relationship with Jesus, and SEND them out to the mission field to start the process over again.

Last but certainly not least, Joe is married to his beautiful wife, Maritsa, and they have two amazing sons, Jacob and Samson.
