Position Description

The Woodlands Methodist Church Internship Program provides an opportunity for young adults who are pursuing or discerning a call to ministry to serve both within a specific ministry area and the broader church community. Interns will actively participate in the life and mission of the church, supporting ministry programs, events, and daily operations as assigned by their ministry leader. Specific responsibilities will be determined based on the needs of the ministry, the goals of the program, and the individual’s gifts and strengths.

In addition to ministry responsibilities, interns will engage in intentional discipleship and spiritual formation opportunities designed to deepen their personal relationship with Christ and strengthen their understanding of ministry leadership. This experience emphasizes both practical service and personal spiritual growth within a supportive team environment. Interns are expected to work approximately 30 or more hours per week, depending on ministry schedules, and must be available for the full duration of the program from May 25, 2026, through August 2, 2026.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High school graduate
• Currently pursuing or discerning a call to ministry
• Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to engage in discipleship and spiritual growth opportunities
• Able to work 30+ hours per week, depending on ministry schedule and program needs
• Specific responsibilities determined by ministry leader, program needs, and individual strengths
• Available for the full program duration: May 25, 2026 – August 2, 2026
