Raising the Next Generation

Grace and peace, church family.

One of my favorite things to do as a pastor is to sit down with people from our church and talk about life, faith and ministry. That’s the heart behind the Field Notes podcast — a simple conversation series where we explore what God is doing in and through The Woodlands Methodist Church.

In this latest episode, I had the joy of sitting down with my friend and colleague in ministry, Mark Swayze, to talk about something that’s close to both of our hearts — raising up the next generation of leaders. I’d love for you to click on the link below and watch this conversation. You’ll catch a glimpse of what the Holy Spirit is doing in and through our NextGen Ministry and see and hear how lives are being shaped by the love of Jesus across every age and stage.

The Woodlands Methodist Church is a multi-generational church, one that believes in passing faith from one generation to the next. With that truth, I must also add that I am grateful to be a part of a church community that invests in kids, students and young adults who are passionate about raising up leaders who will carry the message of Jesus long after us. That’s the kind of church I believe we are called to be!
