This past Sunday, I had the joy of joining Pastor Enrique Sanchez and our Church en Español family for a pretty special moment. We gathered inside what will soon be their new worship space and signed our names, prayers, Scriptures and words of blessing on the concrete slab.

Standing there, I couldn’t help but think back to November of 2022, when I first met Enrique. At the time, he was leading a small worshipping community with a heart for reaching people, but without a permanent place to gather and worship.

We had space. They needed space. So we opened our doors. And it didn’t take long to realize something important: We were better together.

What began as sharing a place to worship has grown into a vibrant community of faith; and now we get to watch as a new worship center rises right here in our midst. I love seeing the Spirit move!

Scripture says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1). This is so much more than walls, concrete or a building. It is a place where people will meet Jesus, families will be changed, disciples will be made and generations will worship.

Church, look at what we get to see the Holy Spirit do among us!

And something tells me He’s just getting started.

¡A Dios sea toda la gloria! To God be all the glory!
