A Christ-Centered Health & Wellness program for Special Needs Youth & Adults

Group Details

Program Overview: 

Faithful Steps is a year-long, Christ-centered health and wellness program designed specifically for youth and adults with special needs, their families and friends. This supportive group encourages participants to take small, meaningful steps toward a more active lifestyle—celebrating each person’s unique abilities and honoring God through movement and fellowship. Using step trackers, the Conqueror app, a variety of accessible activities and the encouragement of friends, participants engage in fun fitness challenges, monthly meetups and devotionals that promote confidence, connection and growth both physically and spiritually.

Meeting is once a month on various days and various locations.


Who Can Participate:

- Youth and adults with special needs 

- Parents, caregivers, and ministry buddies are welcome to join and support

- $3 discount for select Fun Fridays

- Program cost: $75


Is there any additional cost?

- Yes, participants must purchase challenges on the Conqueror App periodically as part of this program, we will participate in a Conquer Challenge in March and June.


2026 Monthly Highlights

January 16 – Kickoff Event
Get to know each other, enjoy a fun and accessible fitness activity, receive step trackers, and share the purpose and importance of this program. Over the next month participants will wear the activity trackers to get a "baseline" of their current activity level.

February 8 – Dance It Out! with Jazzercise
A lively, adaptive dance fitness activity provided by our friends at Jazzercise. We’ll encourage one another to take healthy steps toward daily movement—no matter the pace. Over the next month participants will be encouraged to exceed their "baseline" activity level.

March 20 – In Step with Jesus - Spring Conqueror Challenge
Participate in a fun fitness activity, and launch a group challenge in the Conqueror app—tailored for all abilities. At this meeting we will set individualized step goals based on previous months activity. 

April 25 – Outdoor Adventure
Take a guided hike through Jones State Forest, enjoy geocaching, and check in on how everyone is doing with their activity goals.

May 17 – Fish & Reflect
Spend time fishing together, enjoying God’s creation, and setting new summer activity goals.

June 12 – On the Move - Summer-Fall Conqueror Challenge
Together, we’ll begin a new Conqueror app challenge, encouraging one another through weekly check-ins and shared victories.

July 1 – Beat the Heat Activity Calendar 
Each participant receives a July calendar with simple, adaptive movement activities for each day. Prizes will be awarded at the August meeting based on participation.

August 9 – Bread and Body
We’ll celebrate summer accomplishments with fun prizes and visit Keyes Ingredients for an interactive experience learning about simple, healthy foods and cooking.

September 20 – Bowl and Build for Better Habits
Let’s go bowling at Bowlero! We’ll also talk about building healthy habits, reevaluate goals, and explore fun ways to eat well.

October 2 – Spooky Health Tips
Healthy holiday tip sheet sent out to participants and caregivers 

November 15 – Faithful Finish: 5k and Celebration
Wrap up our amazing year with a celebration of all we’ve accomplished! Participants will join in a fun, accessible 5K on campus at their own pace, cheered on by friends and family. Participants in the 5k will receive a commemorative t-shirt and medal!
